TheΒ Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social StudiesΒ prepares graduates to become professional high school teachers equipped with theories, methodologies, content mastery, and professional-ethical values specific to Social Studies education.Β The program emphasizes developing critical thinking, civic responsibility, and historical-cultural awarenessΒ to effectively teach topics such as history, geography, economics, politics, culture, and contemporary issues. Graduates are trained to facilitate meaningful learning experiences that shape informed, responsible, and engaged citizens, and are qualified to teach Social Studies in the secondary level after passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers.
